As millennials step into leadership roles, Generation Z is entering the workforce with a new perspective. We bring much more to the workplace than Stanley cups, Adidas sneakers, and iced coffee. We bring digital fluency, fresh thinking, and a drive for innovation that is already making an impact.
Born in the late 1990s and early 2000s, Gen Z makes up over 20% of the Irish population. Most of us have never known a world without the internet. We grew up with gaming consoles like the Nintendo DS and Wii, and now we are familiar with AI and other advanced technologies. This constant connection to technology gives us a unique edge.
Gen Z is also the most diverse generation yet. We bring fresh perspectives, creativity, and a willingness to challenge tradition. We push for agile, data-driven approaches that suit the fast-changing world we grew up in.
We value flexibility and seek careers that align with our values, empowering us to make meaningful contributions. Tools like Zoom and Microsoft Teams have transformed how we collaborate, and we appreciate work environments that support growth and connection.
When I joined Deloitte as an intern, I expected to observe more than contribute. I was surprised to find myself trusted to ask questions, participate fully, and work on projects that matter. Deloitte’s collaborative culture allows young professionals to thrive and develop from day one.
Our generation has grown up in a world of rapid technological change. We expect constant innovation and embrace it eagerly. Deloitte shares this spirit of progress and innovation. Gen Z will play a vital role in creating new solutions, enhancing client experiences, and shaping the future workplace.
