Deloitte expands leadership team with the appointment of three new partners in Tax & Legal

October 2024 – Deloitte Ireland is pleased to announce the appointment of three new partners, further strengthening its Tax & Legal team. Kevin Devenney, Jane Pilkington, and Amine Bouguerra bring extensive expertise to their new roles, enhancing Deloitte’s multidisciplinary service offering in a key area of the business.

These appointments underline Deloitte’s commitment to delivering integrated top-tier tax and legal services, supporting some of the world’s most iconic brands. By combining tax guidance with legal expertise, Deloitte continues to provide clients with holistic advice that delivers insights, resolves challenges, and drives sustainable growth.

Meet our new partners:
 

Kevin Devenney joins as a partner in Tax & Legal, with a focus on providing indirect tax services to both domestic and multinational companies. With over eighteen years’ experience, he has advised clients across various sectors including real estate, financial services, and public bodies. Kevin frequently represents businesses in their dealings with the Irish tax authorities, assisting in the resolution of tax audits and disputes. He also co-authored VAT on Property, the leading reference on Irish VAT for property, published by the Irish Taxation Institute. A Deloitte alumnus, Kevin is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland and an Associate of the Irish Tax Institute. Originally from Donegal, Kevin lives in Co. Laois with his wife and their three sons.

Jane Pilkington, an Irish-qualified solicitor with almost 25 years of experience in corporate immigration, also joins the Tax & Legal team. Jane’s previous roles include Partner at a top 5 Irish law firm and Managing Director of a global immigration company’s Irish office. Jane’s clients range from multi-nationals to SMEs to start-ups and to private client work. Jane is a UCD alum and is based in Dublin, where she lives by the sea with her partner and her mini-schnauzer, Otis.

Amine Bouguerra joins Deloitte as a Tax Technology Consulting Partner. Amine brings significant expertise in Tax Provision & Reporting, CBCR, Pillar II, Operational Transfer Pricing and Legal Entity Forecasting. Amine spent most of his career in finance and tax technology consulting at Accenture, Oracle and most recently at Praesto where he developed the Tax Technology practice. He worked across life science, technology and financial services industries advising clients on automation and optimisation of their finance and tax processes. Amine holds an MBA degree from Laval University in Canada. He is based in Dublin with his wife and two children.

With these key appointments, Deloitte’s Tax & Legal team is poised to offer enhanced services, combining global expertise with local insights to meet the ever-evolving needs of clients across a wide-range of industries.
