Deloitte bolsters leadership team with appointment of two new partners

Appointments strengthen Actuarial, Rewards & Analytics and Government, Infrastructure & Real Estate offerings

Deloitte today announces that it has bolstered its leadership team with two new partner appointments. Noel Garvey joins the professional services and consulting business as a partner in its Actuarial, Rewards & Analytics department while Eoin O’Lideadha joins as a partner in the Government, Infrastructure and Real Estate team.

Commenting on the appointments, Harry Goddard, CEO, Deloitte Ireland commented:

These are significant appointments to our business. The common thread we see emerging from our clients is the disruptive nature of their operating environments, resulting in an ongoing need to transform and adapt, be it from a technological, regulatory or societal standpoint. Noel and Eoin will add to the strength and depth of experience that we have in our actuarial and infrastructure teams and will play a pivotal role in supporting clients on their ongoing transformation journeys. We look forward to the positive impact they will make on their teams and for our clients.

Noel Garvey

Noel has 25 years of actuarial and insurance experience, both locally and internationally, in all facets of the non-life sector - consulting, insurance and reinsurance. He will be focused on the provision of these services along with supporting and building further upon the significant financial, risk and digital transformation work that Deloitte is seeing strong demand from its clients on.

Noel held a number of senior positions in the actuarial industry, including leading the actuarial functions of some of the main regulated entities in Ireland in addition to heading up the non-life actuarial services practice in KPMG. He also acts as the Peer Review Actuary to several of the most senior non-life actuaries in the Irish market and has reported to the High Court of Ireland for some the largest non-life insurance portfolio transfers in the Irish market.

Noel is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland. He is a member of the General Insurance Committee and various working parties of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland.

Eoin O’Lideadha

Eoin brings a similar depth of experience to his new role as a partner in the Government, Infrastructure and Real Estate business in Deloitte’s Financial Advisory team. He has 25 years of experience in advising corporates and government departments, including on infrastructure, mergers and acquisitions, financing, and general corporate strategy.

At Deloitte, he will continue to operate at the highest levels of business supporting shareholders, boards, governmental and public sector officials on infrastructure investments and projects in both the public and private sector.
Eoin is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland and holds a B.Comm and a Masters in Accounting from University College Dublin.

Deloitte continues its recruitment drive following its announcement of 300 new roles in April of this year. Details of vacancies can be found here at www.deloitte.ie/careers.
