As a Maximo customer, you will be aware that standard Maximo 7.5 support ends on 30th April 2018. You will now be considering an upgrade to version 7.6. The latest version 7.6.0.9 was released in December 2017. Maximo 7.6 is a stable, mature and feature rich product.
IBM’s approach to Maximo 7.6 and beyond is to provide small multiple Feature Pack releases 3 to 4 times a year eliminating the need for large upgrade projects. Feature Packs include bug fixes, product enhancements and new features.
The IBM Maximo platform is an integral part of IBM’s future. IBM continues to expand Maximo’s capabilities through development of Work Centres, the addition of a Budget Application, the incorporation of BIM and a significantly enhanced work scheduler solutio. The future of Maximo and asset management is hand in hand with evolving IoT solutions. To ensure Maximo stays at the forefront of asset management, Maximo is being expanded to work alongside cutting edge solutions such as Watson and BlueMix.
