The Swiss Boardroom Programme has been designed to support and guide current and future non-executive directors in their role. The Programme provides a platform to stay informed, professionally develop and connect to a network of peers.
Each component of the programme is tailored to the specific needs of the non-executive director, bringing Deloitte subject matter expertise, as well as insights from executive leaders, academia and peers to the table.
The programme complements the board role with insights, tools, experiences, international networks and learning opportunities. The programme centres on three key component:

Swiss Board Survey
Published bi-annually, the swissVR Monitor measures the sentiment of board directors towards Switzerland’s economic outlook. It includes the view of different industry sectors and focuses on changing current matters relevant to boards.
Non-executive directors from Switzerland based organisations are invited to take part in the survey.
This white paper, presented by the Swiss Board Institute and Deloitte, provides a set of guiding principles for boards, focusing on the role of the future-oriented board, the chairman and the CEO. It also includes a view on the auditor of the future and auditing’s relevance for the board.
Published every two years, the Women in the Boardroom report shares the latest statistics on global boardroom diversity, exploring the efforts of over 70 countries to increase gender diversity in their boardrooms. It also features insights on the political, social, and legislative trends behind the numbers.

Board Readiness Programme
The Board Readiness Programme, designed by Deloitte’s Center for Board Effectiveness, offers educational and networking programmes for retired or senior executives who have the interest and experience to be considered for nomination to a public company board or directorship, but who might not have a playbook for starting the journey.
Along with board director and subject matter specialist speakers, a select number of experienced board members are invited to attend each session to provide executives with mentoring and networking opportunities.
Deloitte has partnered with The Boardroom, to contribute to connecting and enabling women in their journey to the top.
The Boardroom is the first private network in Switzerland for senior female leaders who aspire to be board members.
3. Connect
We connect non-executive directors with peers across industries, academia, non-for profit and government organisations, as well as with executives who are embarking on their board journey. Find out more
Board Academy
The Board Academy is a Deloitte platform for knowledge-exchange and networking aimed at non-executive directors and CEOs. This, by invitation only, event series enables participants to discuss future-focused issues in an intimate setting.
The annual Board Members Club is an event for non-executive directors in the Financial Services Industry based in the Romandie. The topics and format of the event vary each year, depending on current priorities and issues keeping board directors in the FS industry awake at night.
