Tell us a little about yourself.
I am originally from Mönchaltorf (a small village near Uster), and I pursued my studies at ZHAW (Zürcher Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften). I have been with Deloitte for almost three years, working mainly as an IT Audit & Assurance Assistant. However, my scope of work also includes IT-focused assurance projects and data analytics. At Deloitte you need to be able to wear many hats!
How was the transition from student to Consultant?
The transition was both exciting and challenging. Deloitte has a robust onboarding process that helped ease the transition, and my team provided substantial support through the buddy program, training sessions, and regular check-ins to ensure I was settling in well. Every team member from Partner to intern was very considerate and welcoming.

How do you manage the busy seasons within your team? Has this been challenging?
Managing busy seasons requires effective time management and teamwork. The team collaborates closely, sharing the workload and supporting each other to ensure we meet our targets. This also means that excellent communication skills are absolutely vital. While it can be challenging, our strong team spirit and structured approach help us to navigate through the busy periods.
How would you describe your team culture?
Our culture within the Technology Audit and Assurance team is collaborative, inclusive, and supportive. There is a strong emphasis on teamwork, continuous learning, and professional growth. Everyone is encouraged to share their ideas and contribute to the success of the team. The environment is dynamic, with a focus on innovation and excellence. To foster this culture Deloitte – and our team in particular – organizes regular events like apéros, team dinners, and sporting activities such as badminton or padel matches.
Has anything surprised you about working in Audit?
One surprising aspect is the variety and complexity of the projects. Each project presents unique challenges and learning opportunities, which keeps the work engaging and stimulating. Additionally, the level of international collaboration and support has been impressive, ensuring continuous growth and advancement for both the team and myself.
