Positive momentum continues: Deloitte Switzerland strengthens partnership and makes new appointments to key roles

The audit and consulting company Deloitte Switzerland has promoted ten experienced and highly successful specialists to partners as of 1 June 2023, while nine further partners joined the organisation from outside the firm during the financial year. Deloitte has also entrusted several individuals with new management and leadership responsibilities, likewise with effect from 1 June 2023. In making these changes, the company is reflecting the fast-paced market developments and its ongoing success in all areas of its business.

For the new financial year, which begins on 1 June 2023, Deloitte Switzerland has named ten proven experts as new partners. They work in the areas of consulting, auditing, tax services and risk advisory. The overarching and fast-growing area of sustainability consulting is also being strengthened with additional expertise at partner level. The new partners show just how diverse Deloitte is in terms of career and educational backgrounds, cultures, origins, and genders.

Nine additional partners have already joined Deloitte Switzerland from outside the company during the current financial year: two in Consulting, two in Tax & Legal, one in Risk Advisory and one in Financial Advisory.

New strategic management and leadership responsibilities

Deloitte has also entrusted several individuals with important new management and leadership responsibilities with effect from 1 June 2023. For the next four years, the management team will continue to be led by Reto Savoia, who was confirmed for a second term as CEO of Deloitte Switzerland in February 2023. Below is an overview of the main changes to the management team and other key areas:

• Kristina Faddoul is taking over from Nico Kleyn as Head of Growth (formerly Clients & Industries). Within the management team, she is responsible for the ongoing development of the company’s market presence, client relationships and service portfolio.
• Nico Kleyn is taking over as Chief Strategy Officer from Ronald Hafner and will remain part of the management team.
  

• Ronald Hafner will now be focusing on acquisitions and managing large-scale, technology-related projects.

• After more than 20 years in various executive positions, Anna Celner is stepping down as partner and leaving the management team. She was most recently in charge of developing and implementing the company’s global bank market strategy, which made her a key link between Deloitte Switzerland and the rest of the organisation worldwide.

• Veronica Melian, who took over the leadership of People & Purpose and became part of the management team last autumn, will continue to look after key human capital mandates, while handing over leadership for Human Capital Consulting to Matthias Thalmann.

• Rolf Brügger is taking over from Matthias Scherler as Government & Public Services Industry Leader.

• Peter Vickers will succeed Ronald Hafner as Head of Energy, Resources & Industrials.
