Deloitte Switzerland appoints 11 new partners

Deloitte Switzerland appoints 11 professionals to its partnership effective 1 June 2026, in addition to welcoming seven external partner hires during this fiscal year. These appointments strengthen the firm’s capabilities across key growth areas.

This year’s partner promotion marks one of Deloitte Switzerland’s largest cohorts in recent years. The new partners bring deep industry knowledge and specialist expertise, reflecting the firm’s continued investment in the capabilities that clients increasingly need.

Alongside the expansion of its partnership, Deloitte Switzerland continues to invest in the development of its people through initiatives that include comprehensive training in artificial intelligence, leadership programmes and structured career pathways. Platforms such as the Next Generation Board and employee communities also help bring broader perspectives into decision-making and strengthen engagement across the firm.

The new normal: Growth under pressure​

Swiss companies remain optimistic about their business prospects, despite the strong Swiss franc and rising energy and procurement costs putting pressure on margins. However, more companies are able to pass on their higher costs to customers than in autumn. Geopolitical risks, potential demand weakness and currency risks are the greatest challenges. Trade turbulence is affecting 64% of companies, with 15% severely impacted. CFOs expect artificial intelligence in the finance function to deliver overall cost savings, particularly in labour costs, but also anticipate higher spending on IT and technology.

Demographic change is putting pressure on the labour market and pension provision. Companies are clearly feeling the effects already and also expecting some far-reaching changes. At the same time, boards of directors are paying too little attention to the issue, according to the latest swissVR Monitor. In addition, most board members are hoping for government reforms, such as an increase in the retirement age. Yet very few companies have put age-appropriate working conditions in place.

2026 health insurance study: Premiums rising faster than official figures indicate and competition intensifying

 

The latest analysis from Deloitte shows that the official figure of 4.4 per cent for premium increases is an underestimate. The cheapest premiums are rising by around 7 per cent in real terms, while there are also marked regional differences. At the same time, the gaps between the cheapest premiums offered by the biggest insurers are continuing to narrow, sparking fiercer competition beyond the simple issue of price. Finally, the solvency of the health insurers has improved significantly, thanks not least to adjustments to their methodology.
