Leading with confidence in an increasingly complex environment

Deloitte Switzerland Impact Report 2025

Our markets are being increasingly shaped by a new level of complexity characterised by geopolitical conflicts, economic and regulatory uncertainty, technological disruption and climate change. For us, making a meaningful impact means contributing to positive change both today and for the future. The Impact Report FY25 highlights where Deloitte made a real difference as we navigated market volatility while remaining steadfast in our commitment to our clients, our people and society.

Leadership message

"When familiar certainties shift and the way we do business evolves, our commitment to making an impact that matters becomes even more important. By working closely with our clients and communities, we continue to demonstrate how partnership, innovation and adaptability drive meaningful progress through periods of profound change."

Reto Savoia, CEO

Our services

This year has been characterised by pioneering solutions across our multidisciplinary offerings, many of which leverage innovative technology and artificial intelligence (AI), an area where Deloitte is a recognised leader in Switzerland. The dedication and expertise of our people were crucial to meeting the evolving needs of our clients, with whom we worked closely to address complex transformation issues and build resilience for the future.

Total revenue

In the 2024/2025 financial year (FY25), political, economic and regulatory uncertainty led clients to invest more cautiously. Our total revenue amounted to CHF 585.6 million, representing a slight decrease of 6.0 per cent compared to FY24.

Revenue by business line

Over the course of the year, we delivered thousands of projects that helped our clients to navigate regulatory complexity and strengthen their operations. Our Audit & Assurance and Tax & Legal business lines continued their growth trajectory.

Revenue by industry

We serve organisations from every major industry of the Swiss economy. Across them all, understanding the opportunities and implications of AI has become increasingly central to our client work.

Financial Services remained our largest industry practice. The Consumer industry moved into second place, ahead of Life Sciences and Health Care. Government & Public Services grew by an impressive 48 per cent, driven by increased demand for digital transformation programmes, cybersecurity solutions and support with evolving regulatory requirements. Technology, Media and Telecommunications grew by 33 per cent as organisations accelerated their adoption of new technologies, modernised their infrastructures and navigated sector-wide transformation.

Our People

As a leading employer in Switzerland, Deloitte remains a preferred workplace for those who are eager to grow on a professional and personal level and want to make a meaningful impact. We continue to foster an open and inclusive culture that values transparency, respect and collaboration.

Ongoing professional development

We focus on upskilling our people in line with rapidly evolving market needs. In FY25, we welcomed 405 new employees at Deloitte Switzerland. Our investment in learning and development was substantial, with over 120,200 hours dedicated to training and professional development. This corresponds to an average of 39 hours per employee.

Each employee has access to tailored development programmes, from our grade-specific bootcamps for newly promoted staff to leadership programmes at Deloitte University in Paris. In FY25, 349 employees attended programmes at Deloitte University, while 97 per cent of our people completed at least one training course during the year. In addition, 110 employees benefited from internal mobility opportunities, including international assignments that broadened their professional networks and cultural understanding.

Championing diversity and inclusion

We bring together talent from 70 different nationalities and diverse educational, cultural and personal backgrounds. We remain committed to gender balance: women made up 45 per cent of our workforce in FY25. Female representation in leadership positions (partners, directors and senior managers) reached 29.6 per cent, reflecting our ongoing efforts to advance women into senior roles. We received a ‘We Pay Fair’  label, demonstrating our commitment to equal pay for work of equal value, and we also renewed our Swiss LGBTI Label, improving our score by 15 per cent.

Global network and local roots

As part of a global network with member firms in more than 150 countries, we combine global reach with a strong local presence in Switzerland, where we serve clients throughout the country from our six offices.

Society

We use our expertise and resources to address societal challenges both in Switzerland and globally. As part of the Deloitte WorldClass initiative, we are aiming to positively impact the lives of 75,000 people in Switzerland – and 100 million worldwide − through improved access to education, training and employment by 2030.

Voluntary and pro bono work

In FY25, Deloitte Switzerland helped approximately 28,900 people gain access to education, training and employment opportunities and develop their professional skills. Since launching the initiative, we have positively impacted over 73,844 lives. More than 350 of our employees volunteered their time in one of our diverse initiatives, dedicating over 12,900 hours to community development and skills-building programmes in FY25.

Donations

Our commitment to making a positive social impact extends to donations aligned with our WorldClass objectives. We contributed CHF 1.87 million to community investments in FY25. This increase reflects our continued focus on community impact and greater participation in our giving programmes. The investments support educational initiatives, skills development programmes and organisations working to create opportunities for underserved populations.

Empowering young leaders

Investing in young leaders is an investment in the future. Through our partnership with One Young World, we create platforms where emerging talent can connect, learn and lead. In FY25, we proudly sponsored the One Young World Switzerland Congress in Zurich, sending ten of our young professionals as delegates. Internally, our Next Generation Board empowers emerging talents from diverse backgrounds to work directly with senior leadership and play an active part in shaping our processes and strategies. Together, these two initiatives demonstrate our commitment to developing the next generation of purpose-driven leaders.

Environment

The Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has validated our global target to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) by 2040. This target is consistent with the Paris Agreement’s goal of limiting global warming to 1.5°C.

Emissions

Our total gross emissions increased by 6 per cent compared to the previous year but decreased by 23 per cent compared to the 2019 baseline year. Our Scope 1 and 2 emissions – covering fuel and electricity as well as district heating and cooling in our operations – have decreased by 73 per cent since FY19. Key drivers include our transition to renewable energy sources and the energy-efficient design of our Prime 2 headquarters.

Scope 3 emissions, which encompass our supply chain, business travel, employee commuting and homeworking, account for 99 per cent of our total emissions. These increased by 6 per cent compared to the previous year, but remain 22 per cent lower than in the 2019 baseline year.

Our approach to emissions reduction covers our entire value chain. The supply chain constitutes our largest source of emissions, accounting for around two-thirds of total emissions. We actively engage with suppliers to adopt science-based targets. Currently, 32 per cent of our suppliers (by emissions) have set such targets.

Meeting clients in person remains essential to our service model and is another major source of emissions. We conducted in-depth analyses to better understand the trend, and we have also updated our travel and expenses policy. We are also continuously raising awareness among employees to encourage responsible travel behaviour.

Circular economy

Our commitment to circular economy principles is applied across all our operations and enables us to extend product lifecycles and reduce resource consumption. Our sustainably constructed Zurich headquarters is LEED Gold certified. We operate an IT equipment refurbishment programme, and we also extended our mobile device replacement cycle from two to three years in FY25. In addition, we launched a comprehensive food strategy with a climate footprint traffic-light system in our acnteen menu, increased subsidies for vegetarian options, and established partnerships to reduce food waste.

Governance

Our business is built on our clients’ needs, our ambition, our purpose and our Shared Values. A sound governance structure provides the foundation for transparency, responsibility and effective decision-making.

Legal structure

Deloitte Switzerland operates through two legal entities: Deloitte AG (which delivers Audit & Assurance, Tax & Legal, and Strategy, Risk & Transactions Advisory services) and Deloitte Consulting AG (which delivers Technology & Transformation services).

Deloitte Switzerland’s Transparency Report provides detailed information on the structure and governance of Deloitte AG. Deloitte’s Tax Transparency Report sets out our tax principles and the details of our tax contributions.

Sustainability excellence

External recognition of our sustainability performance demonstrates our commitment to transparency and continuous improvement. Deloitte Switzerland was awarded the EcoVadis Platinum medal in FY25, placing us among the top one per cent of assessed companies worldwide.

The significant improvement from our Silver status in FY24 reflects our comprehensive approach across four assessment areas: environment (emissions reduction, circular economy, resource management), labour and human rights (diversity, inclusion, working conditions), ethics (data protection, anti-corruption, responsible management), and sustainable procurement (supply chain engagement and transparency). This recognition underscores our commitment to integrating sustainability across all operations.
