Sabina currently serves as Deloitte Canada’s Controls Advisory Leader within Deloitte Canada’s Audit & Assurance business. In this capacity, she leads a team of over 350 professionals across Canada specializing in IT and technology risk assurance and controls, AI, data and analytics, and finance operations advisory. She is responsible for overseeing market strategy, operations, people and culture matters and talent development for this business and works closely with clients’ CFOs, Controllers, CIOs, CISOs, Chief Data Officers, and Chief Audit Executives, providing both advisory and assurance services that support organizations in managing their technology risk while modernizing their financial processes to be more efficient and innovative.
Sabina also leads large-scale assurance and controls advisory teams serving some of Canada's preeminent organizations. She has a passion for developing talent, building high performing teams and helping her clients achieve their goals.
Sabina has also played national and global audit quality roles at Deloitte, focusing on enhancing IT audit quality for Deloitte’s largest Canadian public company audits regulated by the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) and the Canadian Public Accountability Board (CPAB). In this role, she performed engagement quality reviews, coaching and consultations support, as well as developed and delivered learning programs focused on audit quality and the IT Specialist role.
In addition, Sabina spent two years at CPAB, Canada’s audit regulator, where her role included IT audit inspections, thought leadership and stakeholder engagement. Her aim through this role was to enhance audit quality and investor protection by engaging in a dialogue and raising awareness among key stakeholders, including audit firms, audit committees, investors and preparers, about all aspects of audit quality.
