Matt is a Partner in Deloitte’s Strategy & Business Design consulting practice in Toronto (Monitor Deloitte). He leads Deloitte’s national wealth management strategy practice.
He serves clients across the spectrum of wealth management business models, including: full-service brokerage, private investment counsel, mass affluent ‘hybrid’ models, mass market ‘retail’ businesses, direct investing, and robo advisory. He also works widely in asset management – with a specific focus on retail distribution. Matt works with bank-owned firms, independent wealth and asset managers, US firms (e.g., wirehouses, RIAs), regional FIs, new entrants, and insurance organizations. His primary focus is the Canadian market, with global experience in the US, Europe, and Asia.
Matt has deep expertise in corporate and business unit strategy, market entry, customer and channel strategy, new business model development, and large-scale business transformation and capability-building. He works with senior executive teams and boards to address the core strategic opportunities and challenges facing their businesses.
Matt also dedicates significant time authoring market research to help clients form a perspective on the long-term trends and market forces shaping wealth and asset management – and how to respond strategically.
