Matt is an experienced leader with in-depth expertise in technology enabled business transformation within the Public Sector. Matt offers more than 22 years’ experience in strategic design, planning and management at the intersection of information, technology, digital and business operations.
Over the past 15 years, Matt has worked exclusively within the heart of Government and Public Services, with a track record of leading high profile and complex technology/digital transformation programs within the Defence, Security and Justice sector across Australia, Canada, and the UK.
He is a key leader in Deloitte Consulting’s Technology, Strategy and Transformation practice and specializes in Technology and Digital Strategy, Enterprise Architecture, Technology Sourcing, Technology/Digital Operating Models and Program Integration/Large-scale Program Management. His passion is being at the forefront of key Government trends including transforming to the cloud and the digital transformation of Government.
Within Canada, Matt is the national sector leader of Deloitte’s Defence, Security and Justice business, and he is also the lead Partner for the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and the RCMP. Within Australia, Matt was previously the Deloitte Lead Technology Partner for the Australian Department of Defence (DoD).
Outside of Deloitte, Matt‘s community impact included serving (2017 – 2022) as the Deputy Chair and a Council Member of the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) - Australia’s peak representative body and advocacy group for those in the digital ecosystem. In his role, Matt focused on pursuing opportunities to stimulate and grow the digital ecosystem, to create a favorable business environment for AIIA members and contribute to Australia’s economic prosperity.
Prior to joining Deloitte in 2008, Matt’s experience covers the Airline Industry and more than 6 years with an autonomous UK Government National Security agency.
