Jessica Dickson

Partner, Nation Building Advisory Practice - Strategy & Business Design

Jessica is a Partner with Deloitte’s Nation Building Advisory Practice. She brings over 15 years of experience providing governance, policy, strategic planning, and organizational capacity support to First Nations governments, collectives, and businesses. Jessica is an accomplished strategic advisor who has assisted Indigenous, municipal, provincial, and federal governments, as well as non-profit and private sector clients, to advance initiatives within complex, high profile, and fast-paced business environments.

Prior to joining Deloitte in December 2024, Jessica was a Senior Vice President at The Castlemain Group where she spent over a decade providing governance, policy, and strategic planning support to diverse BC First Nations governments and businesses. Jessica has also supported comprehensive evaluations of Canada’s role in the negotiation and implementation of modern treaties and self-government agreements, in her experience working with the federal public service.

Jessica holds a Master of Arts degree in Dispute Resolution from the University of Victoria and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of British Columbia.

Experience
Jessica brings the following relevant experience supporting BC First Nations in pursuing jurisdiction and self-government initiatives:

  •  Strategic planning with growing First Nations commercial fisheries enterprises and First Nations development corporations in BC.
  • Development of corporate governance policies for First Nations businesses
  • Development of governance policies for First Nations political bodies
  • Developing business cases for fisheries monitoring activities
  • Negotiations strategy and management support for First Nations’ negotiations with federal and provincial crown governments
