Professional Experience

Hou Han Zhang is a tax litigation associate at Deloitte Legal Canada LLP. He represents both individuals and corporations in tax dispute matters and assists them in their correspondence with federal and provincial tax authorities. His practice encompasses all stages of tax litigation, from the audit phase leading to appeals before the courts.

Hou Han completed a Bachelor of Laws degree at the University of Montreal. During his studies, he worked as a research assistant for Professor Hugo Tremblay in environmental law, Professor Hugues Parent in criminal law, and Professor Stéphane Rousseau in securities law. He was part of the winning team at the Canadian University Chess Championship in 2023. He was also a member of the University of Montreal Carabins badminton team for the 2021-2022 season.

Hou Han first joined the firm in 2024 as a summer student and completed his articling in 2026.
