Professional experience

Amir is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC), authorized by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) to practice Canadian immigration law, and currently serves as a Manager at Deloitte Legal Canada LLP. He has been part of the Deloitte network for over 12 years, with more than eight years of specialized experience delivering strategic immigration advice to both individuals and organizations, particularly in the area of corporate immigration.

Amir supports multinational clients in managing the cross-border movement of key talent into Canada and advises on a broad range of immigration matters. His expertise includes temporary and permanent residency pathways such as business visits, work permits, study permits, visitor visas, contractor arrangements, permanent residence applications, and Labour Market Impact Assessments (LMIAs), among others. He also plays a key role in ensuring employer and employee compliance with Canadian immigration laws and regulatory requirements.

Leveraging Deloitte’s global network, Amir collaborates closely with lawyers, tax professionals, and global mobility specialists to deliver comprehensive, integrated immigration and workforce mobility solutions tailored to client needs.

In 2016, Amir was selected for a three-month international secondment to Kingston, Jamaica, through Deloitte Canada’s International Development Program (IDP) in partnership with CUSO International (formerly Canadian University Service Overseas). During this assignment, he designed and delivered workshops for youth entrepreneurs, focusing on business plan development, strategic planning, financial management, operational efficiency, and social media and communications strategy.
