Professional experience
Alexander is a lawyer with Deloitte Legal Canada LLP, where he assists corporate clients in obtaining immigration status and work authorization for their employees in Canada. Alexander also advises in matters of immigration compliance, and immigration/ global mobility strategy. Alexander joined the firm as an associate after articling and working as an associate at one of Canada’s largest full-service immigration law firms.
Alexander received his Juris Doctor degree from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University. During law school, Alexander served as a Division Leader in the Immigration Law section of the Community & Legal Aid Services Programme (CLASP), a legal aid clinic operated by Osgoode. Alexander also contributed to and co-authored research at the Centre for Refugee Studies (CRS). Prior to law school, Alexander obtained a Bachelor of Arts (double major in Political Science and History) from McGill University.
