Itireleng is the Managing Director for the Deloitte Africa Tax & Legal practice where she oversees the running of the Tax & Legal business in 11 Anglophone African countries. She has over 20 years of tax-related experience specialising in corporate tax and tax risk management, as well as solid expertise in the financial, banking, accounting and insurance industries. Prior to joining Deloitte Africa, Itireleng was the group head of tax at one of the big financial institutions with presence in over 10 African countries and offices in both United Kingdom and United States of America. In her role as group head of tax, she managed the Group’s tax risk, ensured compliance with tax laws and legislations obligations, as well as accountable to the executive committee, financial director and the Board on all tax matters. Itireleng was the Deputy Chair of the Banking Association of South Africa (BASA) Direct Tax Committee and Chair of the BASA Africa Tax Working Group. She is a member of the South African Institute of Taxation (SAIT), a registered Tax Practitioner with SAIT and holds a Master’s Degree in International Tax.

Suren is a director and the chief operating officer for the Deloitte Africa Tax & Legal practice. In his previous role as global business tax services leader, Suren coordinated efforts of the heads of the following business units: Business Tax, Mergers and Acquisition, as well as Global Investment and Innovation Incentives. Suren joined Deloitte in 1998 in the Durban office. Having completed his articles in the Durban office in 2001 he opted to join the Corporate Tax Department in the Woodlands office. He progressed very quickly and was promoted to Assistant Manager in 2003, Manager in 2004, Senior Manager in 2005 an Associate Director in 2006.

Patrick leads the tax management consulting team for Deloitte Africa Tax & Legal. He was previously a business tax (corporate income tax) partner for nearly 20 years and has been with Deloitte since he started articles in 1990. Patrick is also the Clients & Industries Leader for Africa Tax & Legal, and has led various industry teams for the practice including Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT), chemicals and manufacturing. Having spent many years with a significant focus on transformation, learning and various people related roles, he is now primarily focused on business growth and delivery to clients. Patrick developed the Deloitte Africa Tax Risk Map and is passionate about helping corporates to improve their management and governance of, and strategies for, the tax function. He leads the Tax Strategy and Operations offering with a focus on tax risk management and tax function effectiveness.

Mark has 28 years of specialist tax experience with Deloitte and he has been a tax director for 21 years. He is the Regional Leader for Deloitte in KwaZulu-Natal and Deloitte Africa Tax & Legal Digital Transformation Leader. Mark has provided tax services to a number of large entities in South Africa and their foreign operations. He is also the Lead Client Service Director for three multi-nationals operating in the consumer industry in Africa. Mark is a Chartered Accountant (SA) and holds a Higher Diploma in Tax Law as well as a Certificate in Mining Tax.

Alex is a director and global business tax services leader and oversees the following business units: Business Tax, Tax Advisory and Transactions Services, Global Investment and Innovation Incentives and Deloitte Legal. Having commenced his tax career in 1999 in business tax, he has over 20 years of experience as a tax specialist, including working at the South African Revenue Service. Alex has consulted on a broad range of clients including clients in the manufacturing, automotive and mining industries. He was previously the mining tax industry leader and provided mining tax lectures to BCom Honours students at the University of the Witwatersrand.
