Bernadette Abbott

Bernadette is the Southern Africa business process solutions leader for the Deloitte Africa Tax & Legal practice. She has over 28 years’ experience within the Deloitte Africa member firm and has spent 22 years in global employer services consulting on all areas related to the global mobility of employees of multinationals. Including advising on employees‘ tax, expatriate tax compliance, immigration, relocation services and personal taxation, as well as the broader aspects of relating to the best practice of expatriate management.

For the last couple of years, Bernadette has focused on firm and business management of the Africa Tax & Legal business. She is also the Lead Client Service Partner for a global food and beverages company.

Bernadette is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and is a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) and registered Tax Practitioner with SAICA. She is also a member of the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors (IRBA).
