A leading global wealth management firm faced growing pressure to increase operational efficiency and agility while keeping pace with evolving regulatory, risk, and security requirements—all without compromising client experiences. 

Recognizing the need to modernize its platform and operating model to accelerate delivery and future-proof the organization, the firm engaged Deloitte to help define and execute a comprehensive cloud transformation strategy.

The solution

A self-service cloud platform built for speed and control

Deloitte worked with the firm to shape a digital transformation roadmap and rebuild its cloud platform on Microsoft Azure. To support the client’s goals—operational excellence, regulatory compliance and stronger customer experience—Deloitte organized delivery across three workstreams: 

  • Enablement: cloud foundations, data management and a cloud business office (CBO) for cost, security and governance
  • Engineering: codified, automated processes with security and compliance built in
  • Adoption: migrated developer teams and improved intake and onboarding to speed adoption

The result is a modern, self-service cloud platform that helps internal developers stay focused on business value, with compliance and security built into each step.
