Tariffs, Pricing & Tax Policies: Considerations for the Health Care Industry

Jay Bhatt, DO, MPH, MPA, is a physician executive, geriatrician, and innovator. As managing director of the Deloitte Center for Health Solutions (DCHS) and the Deloitte Health Institute (DHI), Dr. Bhatt directs the research agenda across life sciences and health care leading to actionable insights for client executives and their teams. Dr. Bhatt also drives high-impact collaborations and commitments to equip key decision-makers; address place-based change; and innovate to create opportunity and advance optimal health outcomes for individuals, families, and communities. He is a prominent thought leader on the issues of population health, innovation, health span, public health, artificial intelligence, and digital health. Passionate about patient care, Dr. Bhatt practices medicine and serves on the Board of Directors for Cook County Health, while in his leadership role at Deloitte.

Brian currently lead’s Deloitte Consulting LLP’s Life Sciences Market Access practice. He brings more than 20 years of Life Sciences Commercial and Market Access Strategy experience, having served most of the world’s largest life sciences clients, in the areas of market access, commercial and launch strategy. He has dedicated his career to advancing new perspectives on the growing challenge of sustainable affordability, access, and value capture for traditional, specialty, oncology and increasingly transformative drug therapies in cell & gene therapy and rare diseases. Prior to joining Deloitte, Brian served as executive vice president and managing partner at Decision Resources Group (acquired by Clarivate Analytics). Prior to consulting, Brian was a member of the Leadership Development Program at Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) and supported specialty sales, business analytics and strategic planning. Brian has a passion for leadership development, coaching and mentoring and has been recognized by PharmaVoice as a Top 100 "Most Inspiring Leader" in the Life Sciences Industry. He continues to actively teach and guest lecture at several leading global universities, including assignment at the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania. In addition, Brian actively serves on the Moravian University Board of Trustees.

Anne Phelps is a Deloitte & Touche LLP principal in the Life Sciences and Health Care practice. As the US Health Care Regulatory leader for Deloitte, she manages the Health Care Strategic Regulatory Implementation Services practice. In this capacity, she helps clients navigate the complex world of health care regulatory changes to set their business priorities and strategic opportunities in the midst of a dynamic environment.
