You’ll help clients understand and navigate the tax implications of business decisions, transactions, and global operations. Each day brings new opportunities to collaborate with specialists across disciplines, leverage advanced technology, and deliver tailored services that align tax strategy with business goals. No two days are the same as you help clients advance with confidence in a rapidly changing world.

If you are pursuing a degree that fulfills the educational requirements for the CPA exam, you could work on engagements in Deloitte Tax that help clients understand and manage tax compliance, reporting, and planning across business operations. You may support research, preparation, and review of tax-related documentation, help analyze financial data for tax implications, and contribute to client deliverables that improve accuracy, efficiency, and confidence in tax processes. Professionals who are CPA eligible can gain exposure across multiple tax areas and can build broad business and technical skills to become more versatile tax professionals. If you enjoy structured problem-solving, working with numbers, and building technical tax knowledge in a client-service environment, then Tax could be a great fit for you.

Degree requirements: Bachelor of Science/Business Administration or Master of Science in Accounting, Taxation or other major with enough credits to meet the CPA licensure education requirements in the state you plan to work

If you have an economics background, you could bring strong analytical thinking to engagements in Deloitte Tax involving tax policy, business impact analysis, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making. You’ll connect big-picture market forces to practical business and tax outcomes.

Degree requirements: Undergraduate or advanced degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, International Relations, or a related field

With a technology background in Deloitte Tax, you may work on engagements that connect tax and digital tools, including data analytics, automation, process improvement, and systems-enabled tax solutions. You may help clients improve tax workflows, use technology to organize and analyze large data sets, and support the design or implementation of more efficient tax operating models. Combine your technical skills with business problem-solving and modernize how tax work gets done.

Degree requirements: Bachelor of Science/Business Administration, Master of Science in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field

If you have or are pursuing an LLM in Taxation or a JD, you could help Deloitte Tax support legal* and regulatory analysis related to tax matters, helping teams interpret rules, assess implications, and apply technical guidance to client situations. You may assist with research, document review, issue spotting, and coordination across legal, financial, and business teams to help clients navigate complex tax requirements.

* The Deloitte US firms do not practice law or provide legal advice.

If you have an international business, HR, or liberal arts background, you could contribute to Deloitte Tax in a wide range of client-facing and operational roles that rely on communication, coordination, and problem-solving. You may support global tax engagements, help manage stakeholder communications, assist with workforce or mobility-related tax topics, or contribute to project organization, research, and client service. Tax is not always what you may think, and we need people who can learn quickly, work across teams, and bring strong judgment, communication, and adaptability to complex client work.

Degree requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Human Resources, International Business, Finance, or other liberal arts majors
