Using AI in the Deloitte recruitment process

At Deloitte, serving with integrity is one of our shared values; it enables us to uphold the trust of our clients, regulators, and the public. We expect our people to act with integrity and to conduct themselves ethically at all times, and we expect our candidates to engage in the recruitment process honestly and accurately.

Artificial intelligence (AI) tools can be helpful during the early stages of your job search and application process. For example, you may use AI to research Deloitte, learn more about a role, or help organize and refine your résumé or application materials. If you choose to use AI in this way, you are responsible for ensuring that everything you submit in your application is accurate, truthful, and reflects your own experience and qualifications.

As you navigate the Deloitte interview process, your responses and work must be your own. Unless we explicitly tell you otherwise, you should complete your interview by yourself, without seeking assistance from others or using artificial intelligence tools. We want to understand how you think, communicate, and solve problems as an individual.

A few things to keep in mind

  • Review any AI-generated content carefully for accuracy.
  • Make sure your materials reflect your own background and achievements.
  • When in doubt, rely on your own voice and judgment.

Our expectation is simple: AI can be used as a preparation tool, but never as a substitute for your own thinking or as assistance during interviews. Inappropriate use of AI during the recruitment process will negatively impact your application/consideration for employment.

You can consider using AI after an interview to reflect on your initial interview(s) and generate questions to help you practice for subsequent interviews, if applicable. While you may choose to use AI to help write a follow-up note to your interviewer(s), you should be sure it is personalized and authentic to you.

Always review AI-generated content carefully. You are responsible for making sure anything you submit is accurate and reflects your own experience. AI-generated content does not replace your judgment or personal voice.
