Paul Kraft is a partner in Deloitte’s Financial Services Industries practice, the Investment Management Marketplace Excellence leader and has over 30 years of experience providing audit and related services to some of Deloitte’s largest asset management, insurance, and bank clients.  These clients have included BlackRock, Inc, Fidelity Investments, The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc, and State Street Corporation, with a focus on SEC reporting, regulatory compliance, valuation, organizational and control consulting, and ongoing compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley/404 as well as product growth, regulatory, and industry trends.  His previous firm roles have included US Mutual Fund and Investment Advisers Practice leader, partner in charge of the financial services industry practice for New England, and deputy partner of the National Asset Management Practice.  Paul has led Deloitte’s annual Fair Valuation Survey since inception (now entering its 22nd edition) and is a frequent speaker and writer on the topic of fair valuation and governance, as well as other financial services trends and issues. 

Before joining Deloitte & Touche, Paul spent over two years as assistant chief accountant in the SEC’s Division of Investment Management in Washington, D.C. In that role, he worked on accounting, compliance, and financial reporting matters affecting SEC registrants. In addition, he focused on fair-valuation initiatives, the introduction of the euro, the implications of Y2K, and the implementation of new reporting and disclosure guidelines for investment advisers.

Paul serves on the advisory board of the Mutual Funds Directors Forum, on the board of Special Olympics of MA, is a member of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Financial Services Committee and has served on the boards of the Boston Public Library Foundation and the Junior Achievement of New England.
