Mike Morris is a Managing Director in Deloitte’s Cyber Operate business and serves as Deloitte’s Aerospace and Defense Cyber Leader and Private Equity Cyber Operate Leader, with more than 24 years of cybersecurity experience spanning the US Air Force, national intelligence, product leadership, and managed services.
Mike previously served as Deloitte’s Strategy and Innovation Leader and as the US Detect & Respond Technology and Solutions Leader, where he led the engineering and architecture design of the world’s first modular and composable Managed Extended Detection and Response (MXDR) platform. Before joining Deloitte through the acquisition of root9B, Mike served as chief technology officer and chief architect, leading the design and integration of the company’s platforms, HUNT methodology, and execution strategy. Across his career, Mike has helped stand up and evolve leading security operations and threat hunting environments, including root9B’s first-of-its-kind Adversary Pursuit Center for 24x7x365 manned cyber HUNT operations, while advancing cyber intelligence fusion, analytics, automation, and platform engineering to improve resilience and operational effectiveness. His teams have earned numerous industry recognitions, including three Edison Awards, and he has been professionally published in multiple industry outlets.
