Meredith Fahey leads organizational change management (OCM) for Deloitte’s Higher Education practice with the responsibility of advising and supporting clients as they manage change through transformations of any kind.
Meredith helps higher education institutions navigate complex, consensus-driven environments by building coalition support across academic and administrative stakeholders, addressing unique cultural and shared governance dynamics, and tailoring change strategies to faculty, staff, and student populations. Whether modernizing ERP/finance, student information systems, HR platforms, shared services, or digital learning, she focuses on minimizing disruption, accelerating time-to-value, and enabling long-term capability so the institution can sustain change.
She has fifteen years of experience with a strong track record of helping leaders translate strategy into sustained adoption—aligning people, process, technology, and culture to achieve measurable outcomes. She brings deep experience across leadership and stakeholder alignment, change impact and readiness assessments, communications, learning and enablement, and role-based adoption planning, with a practical focus on governance and metrics that make change stick.
As the market shifts, OCM evolves. She emphasizes what clients increasingly need: cultivating change as both a leadership capability and as an operating discipline - so transformation and change readiness is not a one-time initiative, but a repeatable process that is part of the institutional DNA - preparing institutions to adapt to a continually changing landscape.
Prior to Deloitte, Meredith worked in public policy and before that she was a Peace Corps volunteer. She resides in Chicago, IL, with her husband.
