Matt Wangard

Matt is an Audit & Assurance partner in Deloitte & Touche LLP with nearly 30 years of experience in client service, business leadership, and governance. As Managing Partner of the US Audit & Assurance Offerings, he leads an integrated strategy focused on client service, operational excellence, team development, and the delivery of high-quality audit and assurance services that enhance trust and transparency in the capital markets. He also serves on the US Board of Directors and the US Audit & Assurance Executive Leadership Team, helping align strategies across Deloitte to better serve clients.

Matt has served many of Deloitte’s largest financial services clients, as well as a broad range of public and private companies. His experience includes audit, internal controls, regulatory compliance, M&A due diligence, and accounting and reporting advisory services. This breadth of experience helps gives Matt a distinctive boardroom perspective, grounded in firsthand insights into the strategic, financial, operational, and regulatory complexities facing clients today.  He brings deep industry knowledge, strategic insight, and a strong network of clients and colleagues to delivering an exceptional client experience.

Matt received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Millikin University. He is a licensed CPA in Illinois, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois Association of Certified Public Accountants.
