Mark Adams

Senior Manager, Cyber Risk | Deloitte Consulting LLP

Mark is a senior manager within Deloitte & Touche LLP’s Cyber Risk practice, with more than 20 years of experience spanning threat intelligence, cyber risk advisory, and large-scale cyber strategy & program leadership. He has a strong background in law enforcement, after nearly a decade of service with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). At Deloitte, Mark leads the Northeast & Tri-State Mid-Atlantic emerging client portfolio clusters with specialized practices focused on clients in the Life Sciences and Healthcare sectors.

Mark has extensive experience supporting organizations to help grow and mature their cybersecurity operations, focusing on people, processes, and technology. He has led numerous engagements across Life Science/Healthcare, Family Wealth Offices, and Government (federal and state) industries. These engagements focused on a range of cyber capabilities, including cyber maturity assessments, security tool implementation, policy development, incident response, and managed security operations.

In addition to his broader cybersecurity leadership, Mark serves as a trusted Strategic Cybersecurity Advisor to senior executives across multiple client engagements, providing high-impact guidance that directly shapes organizational cyber strategy and resilience. In this capacity, he collaborates with C-suite leaders, including Chief Information Officers, Chief Financial Officers, and Chief Digital Officers to develop and refine multi-year cyber roadmaps aligned with evolving business objectives, translating complex risk landscapes into actionable executive decisions. His cyber advisory work is distinguished by his ability to elevate client cyber maturity in a measurable, sustained manner, bridging strategic vision with program execution and building long-term resilience against an evolving threat environment.

Prior to joining Deloitte, Mark led Threat Intelligence efforts at an industry-leading cyber vendor, where he provided advisory services on cyber threat intelligence, malware analysis, and business process integration. During his prior employment he held the role of Lead Research Analyst, where he supervised analytical teams processing highly sensitive information related to counterterrorism, espionage, fraud, Violent Criminal Apprehension Program (ViCAP) and cybercrimes.

Mark holds a GIAC Security Leadership Certification (GSLC) and a master’s degree in Intelligence Management from the University of Maryland University College, complemented by a bachelor’s degree in business management from Shippensburg University.
