Jesse McWhorter II

Jesse is a Partner in the Deloitte Multistate Tax practice. He leads the National Multistate Tax Services (NMTS) sub-service line and is the Multistate Operations Leader. Jesse has more than twenty-five years of Multi-State Income/Franchise Tax consulting experience and the State Strategic Tax Review Subgroup in the Cincinnati office.
He has extensive knowledge on analyzing state income, franchise and gross receipt tax returns for potential refund and filing positions as well as credit and incentive opportunities. Jesse strategizes with his clients as to the best methods to implement ideas and has extensive experience with state audits, protests, appeals and settlements. Industries of focus include financial services, construction, retail, media, manufacturing, consumer products, government contractors, and service companies.
More recently, Jesse led our National Multistate Credits and Incentive practice and established a track record of advising companies as they identify, apply for, and obtain potential incentives, tax credits, training benefits, cash grants, abatements, and other benefits. He also served as the Central Region Growth Leader where he teamed to drive the growth of our Central Region MTS practice. In that role he supported our regional eminence efforts, connected with our LMEs to drive opportunities for high-value work, and assisted with our most significant pursuits.
