Howard is a managing director in Deloitte & Touche LLP within the Regulatory, Risk and Forensics market offering with more than 25 years of experience in the energy, resource and industrial industries.
Howard's experience includes leading enterprise and regulatory compliance transformation, risk management, strategic planning, and change management projects for companies operating and/or invested in these sectors.
In addition to his corporate-level advisory support, Howard has worked with dozens of different clients on targeted regulatory and corporate compliance matters both in the US and internationally. This work has included corporate governance, compliance program implementation; policy and procedure design and development; transaction surveillance capability enhancement; assistance with responding to regulatory sanctions and directives; compliance and risk organizational redesign; governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC) system selection and implementation; and operating model design and deployment.
For the last several years, Howard has also been serving as the industry lead for Responsible AI addressing governance and risk management needs across the sectors and providing advisory support to clients that are at various levels of maturity in their AI and machine learning journeys.
