Howard Friedman

Howard Friedman is a Managing Director in Deloitte & Touche LLP's Risk & Financial Advisory practice with over 25 years of extensive experience in the energy, resources, and industrials sectors. A key aspect of his role is serving as Deloitte's Trustworthy AI Leader for these sectors, where he has pioneered and led numerous AI governance and risk management engagements. Howard's deep expertise spans organizational governance and operating model design. He specializes in implementing robust governance, risk, compliance (GRC), and control systems to help organizations address complex regulatory obligations and commercial risks. He has advised dozens of clients on broad transformational initiatives and targeted matters in wholesale and retail commodity markets, including compliance program development, transaction surveillance, and responding to regulatory directives. He also serves on the editorial board for Deloitte’s Center for Regulatory Strategy, directing its efforts in the energy industry.
