As a partner at Deloitte & Touche LLP with 30+ years of experience, Derek leads M&A transactions for private equity and strategic clients across multiple sectors. Derek has led financial due diligence on both the buy-side and sell-side across a broad range of transactions, from mid-sized asset purchases to large public company deals.
Derek is a leader in our global infrastructure and energy practices, serving many of the largest private equity firms and infrastructure investors. Derek’s industry knowledge—gained from advising both investors and some of the largest energy companies in the US—enables him to provide actionable insights on asset classes ranging from power generation and transmission, renewables, and midstream assets to transportation and digital infrastructure.
Derek is also a leader in our global sports practice, having served marquee investors, leagues, college conferences, teams, and other sports organizations. His work spans transaction advisory, strategy, and operational support, helping a diverse range of sports clients achieve their investment and growth objectives.
