Denise Shepherd serves as Chief Learning Officer for Deloitte, where she leads the organization’s Growth & Development strategy. In this role, Denise sets a bold vision for upskilling Deloitte’s workforce, advancing market-relevant skills, fostering innovation, and empowering every professional with opportunities to learn, lead, and thrive in a human-led and AI-powered future of work.
Through her leadership, Denise drives impactful learning experiences and strategic investments in talent development, positioning Deloitte at the forefront of workforce transformation and AI adoption.
With over 20 years at Deloitte, Denise has advanced talent solutions at scale in both internal and client-facing roles. Most recently, she served as the Chief Culture Officer and previously led Deloitte’s workforce strategy and strategic talent portfolio, bringing deep experiences and leadership in talent innovation, change leadership, and employee engagement.
Denise serves on the Board of Directors of the Deloitte Foundation and is actively engaged in the Sacramento community through nonprofit board service. She holds a Master of Public Policy from UC Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Stanford University.
