Devon Halley is a principal at Deloitte Consulting and has over 20 years of product and service design experience. He provides expertise in experience design, data analysis, knowledge/requirements elicitation, workflow analysis, prototyping, usability analysis, and product development and management. Halley has spent his career reimaging how people interact with wide-ranging technologies—from thick client apps to web apps to mobile apps to emerging horizons such as augmented and virtual reality. He has successfully performed these activities for various US government agencies and commercial entities. For the past eight years, Halley has focused on developing expertise on the unique product needs associated with defense and national security. He is particularly interested in the ethical and design considerations we face as technology evolves. These interests have taken on many forms, such as conducting research around how to create positive network effects and public outcomes by pairing emerging technologies with different social network structures, as well as teaching at Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College as adjunct faculty.
