Brian Lightle

Brian is a seasoned Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) partner at Deloitte, with over 30 years of professional experience—including more than 24 years dedicated to M&A transactions. As the San Francisco Bay Area M&A Leader and global lead client service partner for one of Deloitte’s premier private equity clients, Brian oversees key M&A initiatives and advises leading private equity firms and multinational corporations on complex, high-value deals—primarily within the technology sector.

Brian’s expertise encompasses high-growth technology verticals such as software, semiconductors, SaaS, and mobile gaming. His deep industry knowledge, strategic insight, and collaborative approach have enabled him to guide clients through more than 400 transactions, representing over $200 billion in total deal value.

Brian’s three-year tenure in Deloitte’s Tokyo office, where he led major cross-border M&A engagements, further honed his global perspective and cross-cultural leadership. He leverages this international experience today to help multinational clients navigate the complexities of cross-border transactions and global market dynamics.

Brian holds a bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University and a master’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin’s Graduate School of Business. He is a U.S. Certified Public Accountant, licensed in Texas and California.
