Betsy Evans

Betsy has more than 30 years of public accounting and professional services experience and is currently a member and the Vice Chair of the Deloitte USA LLP Board of Directors and the Direct Tax Offering Portfolio (“Direct Tax”) leader within Deloitte Tax LLP. As the leader of Direct Tax, Betsy leads the practice in providing income tax advisory, compliance, and provision services to clients. Most recently, she served as the Business Tax Services leader and the Office Tax Managing Partner for the Atlanta/Birmingham office, leading marketplace growth and talent initiatives. Betsy has served clients as an M&A Transaction Services partner for the last 15 years with experience including assisting financial and strategic buyer clients with mergers and acquisitions, tax structuring and tax controversies.

Betsy has been involved in all aspects of due diligence, transaction structuring, and review of transaction related documents. Betsy previously served on the Deloitte Board Council and the Nominating Committee.

Betsy has both a Bachelor and Master of Science in Accounting from Florida State University and is a Certified Public Accountant in Georgia and Florida and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Betsy also serves as an executive board member of Seminole Boosters, Inc.
