Arpa Orojian is a Senior Manager in Deloitte’s Higher Education Practice and leads the Research Administration Capability. She has over sixteen years of experience working in and with large, academic, and medical research institutions. Her knowledge of sponsored programs and internal controls has allowed her to serve in roles focused on research compliance, sponsored award audits, internal control development, system implementations, and analytical reporting.
Arpa has advised institutions moving to Workday Financials, including the University of Virginia and Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Her work at her previous employer, the University of Chicago, was specifically focused on financial research compliance. Additionally, her experience in the field and understanding of system functionalities allows her to serve as a bridge between technical users and business users at each institution. She has spent time working in policy development, project management, and collaborating on strategic research administration modernization initiatives with university leadership.
She is also an active member of the National Council of University Research Administrators and the Society of Research Administrators International and regularly presents at both annual and regional conferences.
