Amy Steele

Amy Steele is an Audit & Assurance partner with over 25 years of experience working in professional accounting and regulation. Amy has experience serving companies ranging from start-ups to large global organizations, with a strong focus on the technology and media industries. She is a recognized leader on a variety of complex technical, regulatory, and standard-setting matters.

Amy is currently Deloitte & Touche LLP’s Strategy Leader – Quality, Risk and Regulatory, where she develops and executes against our strategic priorities and leads complex initiatives related to innovation, transformation, and emerging assurance, including the responsible integration of AI into audit quality, risk management, and regulatory readiness. Amy previously held other leadership positions within the organization, including US Deputy Chief Auditor and Global and US Audit & Assurance Methodology Leader for Blockchain and Digital Assets.

Amy co-chairs the American Institute of CPAs® (AICPA) Digital Assets Working Group.

Previously, Amy served as Associate Chief Accountant in the Office of the Chief Accountant at the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), where she supported the office in its role as the principal adviser to the commissioners on profession-wide audit matters and Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) oversight.
