Allan leads Deloitte’s Education and Workforce Development initiative, sits on Deloitte’s Higher Education leadership team, and is the Research and Insights Lead for Deloitte’s Center for Higher Ed Excellence. He writes and speaks extensively on issues and trends in higher education with a particular focus on student success.
Allan brings more than 25 years of experience as a strategist in conjunction with Deloitte Consulting LLP helping a generation of innovative leaders scale the impact of their organizations. He focuses on increasing educational and economic opportunity. Allan’s portfolio includes national nonprofits, foundations and higher education institutions. He has also worked extensively on place-based strategies to address poverty in his hometown of New York City
Allan previously advised the White House on STEM education, social entrepreneurship, and increasing opportunity through the My Brother’s Keeper Initiative.
Allan holds a B.S. in Jazz Studies (magna cum laude) and an M.B.A. in management (1st in class), both from New York University, and started his career as a jazz musician.
