Alex is a principal at Deloitte focused on modernizing how government agencies plan, budget, and manage money. He leads Deloitte's Government and Public Services (GPS) Business Finance practice, which helps federal, state, and local clients rethink financial operations across grants management, planning and budgeting, finance analytics, and cost optimization, and serves as GPS Lead Alliance Principal for Anaplan, directing Deloitte's go-to-market and delivery strategy for Anaplan-based planning and budgeting solutions across government.
He also leads Deloitte's relationship with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), where Deloitte supports a broad range of financial, technology, and program work. That experience in one of government's highest-stakes financial environments has shaped how he approaches finance modernization across the rest of his practice.
Across these roles, Alex focuses on the platforms reshaping government finance today, including OneStream, Anaplan, and Apptio, alongside Deloitte's proprietary grants technology, GrantPulse. He has more than 20 years of experience in government-facing roles, including four years as an Infantry Officer in the United States Army.
Alex holds a BA from the Virginia Military Institute and an MBA from George Washington University.
