Updated eligibility requirements

  • Be in business for a minimum of four years. Founded on or prior to December 31, 2020.
  • Be headquartered within North America (United States and Canada). Subsidiaries or divisions are not eligible unless they have some public ownership and are separately traded. Companies that are acquired prior to the finalization of the list are not eligible to participate.
  • Have base-year (fiscal year 2021) operating revenues of at least US$50,000 and current-year (fiscal year 2024) operating revenues of at least US$5 million, with a growth rate of 50% or greater.
  • Own proprietary intellectual property or proprietary technology that significantly contributes to the company’s operating revenues.
    • A significant portion of the company’s operating revenues must be derived from product or service sales that incorporates the company’s proprietary intellectual property or other proprietary technology exclusive of related service revenue.
    • Consulting companies, professional service firms, and resellers are not eligible.

Frequently asked questions

Who should apply?

Private companies, as well as public companies traded via over-the-counter exchanges. Public companies listed on the NYSE, NASDAQ, or AMEX stock exchanges are encouraged to complete the application form or confirm their inclusion in the research/application process with the national Fast 500 team at Fast500@deloitte.com.

Is there an application fee?

There’s no fee to apply.

What determines my company’s eligibility?

Winning companies must have proprietary technology in market, with additional factors of determination that include percentage of fiscal-year revenue growth over a three-year period. The ranking is compiled from applications submitted directly to the Technology Fast 500 website and researched by Deloitte LLP using public company databases.

When are applications due?

Applications for 2026 will open in the spring and close in the summer. Subscribe to receive updates about the program and application period.
