For more than 35 years, we’ve served as a trusted child support adviser to 31 states, the District of Columbia, and the Federal Office of Child Support Services. The technology modernization and business transformation plans we’ve implemented with our clients have driven meaningful results in child support programs and added capabilities where they matter most. Where did you work before Deloitte?

For more than 25 years, I worked for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. I managed the initial design and implementation of the statewide child support system, and subsequent enhancements, working side by side with Deloitte.

What has been your most impactful project at Deloitte?

I have had the privilege of continuing to work to modernize that original Pennsylvania Child Support System. It was a full-circle moment to be part of the very successful statewide rollout of the updated system, to hear the glowing feedback from the system users, and to see firsthand the positive impacts of the new system on the Commonwealth’s child support operations.

It is very gratifying to be part of the child support community as a whole. Within the Deloitte team, as well as nationally, there is a high level of collaboration and focus on creating innovative programs and systems that are reflective of and responsive to the needs of the children and families that we serve.

Where did you work before Deloitte?

Prior to joining Deloitte five years ago, I spent 17 years in the Kansas Child Support program. I began my career as a generic caseworker handling all aspects of a child support case. As my career progressed, I served as the automation manager leading the state’s feasibility study and ultimately became the deputy IV-D director for more than five years.

What has been your most impactful project at Deloitte?

I have worked with several child support programs during my time with Deloitte; each a unique type of project. I’ve worked on a refactoring project, full system build/implementation, business process reengineering, and a front-end modernization project. I think what makes Deloitte unique is our ability to foster relationships and bring our client’s voice to the project. Many of us have “been the client” and understand the challenges that government programs and caseworkers face while bringing innovative solutions to the families they serve. Children and families, the heart of Child Support Services, will always be at the forefront of my approach to any project.

Where did you work before Deloitte?

Before joining Deloitte almost three years ago, I served for more than 27 years in the Pennsylvania Child Support program, with 20 years as a county director. I also served for 20 years on the Domestic Relations Association of Pennsylvania (DRAP) Board of Directors in multiple roles including a term as president and long term as a Pennsylvania Child Support Enforcement System (PACSES) Advisory Committee member, and a legacy system modernization project county lead. Within those two technology-driven committees, I was active in collaborating and leading, from the county perspective, various PACSES work orders input and feedback while working collaboratively with Deloitte. For 14 years, I led the DRAP IV-D Advisory Committee, providing direct input into development of Pennsylvania child support policy and procedures.

What has been your most impactful project at Deloitte?

For my entire tenure at Deloitte, I have been a functional lead/subject matter expert on the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s PACSES Tech Refresh project. Our national Child Support practice team is composed of government child support leaders from across the nation, which makes us unique and allows us to provide a depth and breadth of knowledge to our clients. With our experience, we can provide personalized and distinctive support because we understand what the client needs to be successful, no matter the size of the project. Ultimately, serving children and families through our projects helps to keep our team grounded in the importance of the work we do.

Where did you work before Deloitte?

I began my career at Deloitte straight out of college as a business technology analyst assigned to the Pennsylvania Child Support Enforcement project (PACSES).

What has been your most impactful project at Deloitte?

Over the course of my career at Deloitte, I’ve led many projects in the Child Support practice, including full system modernization efforts replacing legacy mainframe systems, mobile self-service, a proactive case management system focused on performance improvements, automated text messaging outreach, a predictive analytics solution, and integration with a job/employment opportunity system. I love being in the Child Support practice and doing child support work because of the impact it has on families and children across the country. Our community is collaborative and mission-driven, and our practice has strong subject matter experience that is instrumental in the success of our technology and major modernization projects.
