Elevating Employee Experience

How Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion impacts Employee Experience

2023

Employee Experience (EX) is informed by six core relational attributes an employee interacts with – the work they do, the places they work in, the diverse people they work with, the technology they use, the organisation they work for, and their personal well-being and inclusion. EX has become a mainstream focus, but organisations are still struggling to capitalise on the benefits. This report explores one of these six core relational attributes – Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI).

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion has always mattered, but events in the past few years have resulted in organisations undergoing unprecedented challenges and has brought DEI front of mind for leaders and employees alike.

This point of view explores the following areas:

  • Why DEI is paramount in elevating the Employee Experience
  • How DEI can be incorporated across the employee lifecycle to create a truly elevated employee experience (including case studies)
  • How can organisations get started on their DEI journey

The road to truly embed DEI is a long and continuous one that will bring benefits for organisations and their people. The key to its success is not considering it as a tick-box exercise but consciously focusing on embedding it across the entirety of the employee lifecycle. Focusing on DEI within your organisation can bring about excellent organisational benefits and directly elevate employee experience, facilitating the evolution of thriving, productive workplaces.
