It’s official! Payrolling of benefits for all employees will be mandatory from the start of the 2026/27 tax year. The government confirmed in the Autumn Budget that employers will have to report and account for income tax and social security on taxable benefits in kind through the payroll from the start of the 2026/27 tax year.
