The UK’s largest zero-waste supermarket
One of the ways we make an impact in Birmingham is through our green agenda.
In 2017, the Midlands green team began working with the city's first, and UK's largest, zero waste supermarket - The Clean Kilo. This eco start up, which is the first of its kind in Birmingham, initially approached Deloitte as a potential sponsor during its crowd-funding campaign. But the team saw its potential and has since helped it go from a one-off financial investment to an on-going pro-bono relationship. With the help of the green team's business advice, The Clean Kilo continues to grow from strength-to-strength, with plans in the near future to open another store and create a food hub so customers can order online and collect later.
Deloitte has been extremely supportive since I returned to work following a three year career break. Having recently been promoted to Director, I enjoy a challenging and rewarding career, working both with household name clients and great colleagues, whilst still being able to spend quality time with my children.
