Warren joined the Deloitte Trade Compliance Team as Associate Director in March 2022, prior to which he gained over 30 years’ experience in the Aerospace & Defence Sector for Rolls Royce and the UK Ministry of Defence.
At Rolls Royce, he was Head of Exports Controls & Sanctions for the Global Defence Business. He led his team through a major transformation, leading to the establishment of a high performing team which delivered excellent support to all parts of the business. Notably, he supported the business in delivering and strengthening the internal compliance programme, oversaw international supply chain risks, export classification, licensing, sanctions risks and technology management.
During his time with the MOD, Warren worked in high profile positions with the Defence Intelligence Staff, NATO & European Policy Group & the International Relations Group for Defence Equipment & Support. He has extensive knowledge of U.S. export controls and with supporting major international acquisition & business development programmes.
He is an active member of the Institute of Export & International Trade, is a member of the UK Defence Industry Association Committee for Export Controls, and a member of the Atlantic Council. He has a master’s degree (MA) in Defence Studies.
