Simran is an award-winning Chemical Engineer, Industry4.0 expert, and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt who leads Circular Innovation as part of our Sustainability & Climate Innovation team. Within this role, Sim works across startups, industry, and academia to build ventures, partnerships and proof-of-concepts that can drive the Net Zero transition across hard-to-abate sectors. Simran has been key in launching Deloitte’s GreenSpace (CleanTech) offering across EMEA, commissioning our UK Circular Manufacturing practice, and representing the firm on the UKGBC’s (UK Green Building Council) Taskforce for Non-Domestic Retrofit as part of their Advanced Net Zero programme.
Sim brings with her expertise in redesigning and optimising manufacturing & supply chain processes across the tech transfer scale – with process engineering, commercial R&D and Industry4.0 Consulting expertise across chocolate-making, cultured meat scaleup and vaccine manufacturing. Prior to this role, she worked for Mondelez International, the University of Bath’s Centre for Integrated Bioprocessing Research, and Deloitte’s Smart Factory practice.
Outside her role, Simran is passionate about empowering youth and intersectional voices for a just and equitable transition. She leads Deloitte’s Codename MAXINE diversity network, as well as serving as a One Young World ambassador, World Economic Forum Global Shaper, and Deloitte EMEA Youth Chair to our Global People Exec.
Sim has been named one of the UK’s TechWomen100 leaders, INvolve EMpower’s Top 100 Future Leaders, JCI Malta’s Top 10 under 40, UK delegate for the UN’s Commission on the Status of Women, and Management Consultancies’ Association’s Rising Star finalist for her work in championing industry innovation.
