Paul is a Director in Deloitte’s Economic Advisory practice. Paul advises clients on economic regulation, policy and strategy across the financial services sector. 

Paul has been providing economic advice at the intersection of regulation, policy and business strategy to clients since 2002. He supports businesses when they engage with regulators and policy makers - from market reviews and supervision to litigation - and when they are developing strategy to respond to regulatory intervention and other economic trends.

Since 2008, Paul has focused on financial services. He has helped clients navigate some of the highest profile issues that have shaped the sector today including the Independent Commission on Banking, the CMA’s investigation into retail banking, the FCA’s many market reviews, long-term savings policy, the introduction of pricing controls in general insurance and overdrafts, open banking, consumer duty, the future of payments and motor finance commission.
