Andrew Stanford

Andrew is Head of Residential Capital Markets at Deloitte and an accomplished leader in the UK's living sector with a focus on Build to Rent (BTR). In his 30+ year career he has developed an exceptional knowledge of residential tenures, brokerage, investment and asset management.

His skills were leveraged whilst Head of the UK Government's Private Rented Sector (PRS) Taskforce (2013-2015). There he led a team charged with kickstarting BTR. To Q1 2023, c250,000 BTR homes have either been completed, are under construction or in planning. This has enhanced the renting experience for tens of thousands of people and become a new £30bn+ investment real estate sector.

Previously at a major global real estate investment management firm, he ensured that its BTR portfolio was the first national, large-scale multi-asset BTR holding in the UK totalling c£500m. More recently, he was head of BTR at a global property investment and brokerage firm where he led a team which completed on c.£500m (c1,600 homes) of transactions in 2022.
