Ashleigh Arton

As a member of Deloitte Ventures’ Climate Change and Environment Capability, Ashleigh seeks to originate technology-based opportunities with clients, and co-innovation with strategic partners to advance climate action and accelerate our transition to Net Zero. From 2021, Ashleigh was the Carbon Removals Lead for the Climate Champions Team serving the UN Climate Change High Level Champions for COP25, COP26 and COP27. As Removals Lead, Ashleigh worked to increase international ambition and action towards just and effective carbon dioxide removals at the giga tonne scale. She emphasises using systems thinking to understand and unpack the linkages between nature, government, markets and communities to ensure success. Ashleigh has over 8 years experience in nature conservation and sustainability, having previously worked for research institutes and non-governmental organisations such as the Stockholm Resilience Centre and Marine Stewardship Council. She has a MSc in Biodiversity, Conservation and Management from the University of Oxford.
