As I reflect on 2023, there is no doubt that it was a year of change and challenge, and one through which our firm has had a responsibility to support our clients, people and communities.
Our NSE firm is a diverse landscape that draws strength from our broad range of languages, cultures, skills and capabilities. Uniting us are our shared values and purpose – to make an impact that matters.
Over the past year we’ve supported our clients to build resilience and find opportunities for growth, particularly through digital and new technologies. And we’ve increased investment in communities across NSE, including volunteering, donations and pro-bono projects in line with our 5 Million Futures social impact strategy.
I continue to be inspired by the efforts of our people and proud of the ways in which they work together, across borders, to find solutions to some of society’s most complex problems. In this year’s report, we learn about how Deloitte UK is accelerating towards a more inclusive workforce with the help of our Multicultural Network. Working with the Ryan De Jongh Foundation which reforests mangroves in the Dutch Caribbean, colleagues from Deloitte Netherlands are helping them to create a sustainable and social legacy. And Deloitte Italy and the Italian Deloitte Foundation have worked with the Community of Sant'Egidio and the Isola Tiberina hospital to develop a service that aims to provide medical assistance to 1,000 patients every year.
This report is a collection of some of our best stories from across NSE, told by the people who made them possible. These stories are a glimpse into the impact being made every day by our people.
