Online Safety Act Training

Navigating the Illegal Content Risk Assessment

The UK Online Safety Act (OSA) has entered its implementation phase this year, introducing significant obligations for online service providers with links to the UK. Non-compliance could lead to considerable penalties, including fines of up to £18 million or 10% of global qualifying revenue. Failing to meet the Act's requirements could also damage a company’s brand reputation and erode user trust.

Deloitte’s EMEA Centre for Regulatory Strategy is pleased to launch a new e-learning programme designed to cover the first OSA requirement affecting all in-scope companies – the Illegal Content Risk Assessment. This risk assessment is a key duty under the OSA, which regulated services must complete and review at least annually since the first deadline of 16 March 2025.

Who is the training for?

This training is designed for employees in firms that are within the scope of the OSA.

It may prove particularly helpful for small to medium-sized companies who may not have tailored in-house regulatory training.

Completing this module may also be beneficial for new hires joining large digital companies as a component of foundational regulatory training.
